I've been lurking here after stumbling upon Halls' videos for a few months ago. I've always wanted to make my own game, or rather my own world for some time now. I've known HTML since the 90s and I've messed around a little with Javascript and PHP/MySQL the past few years, but I didn't really have much knowledge of either to actually do anything. That's starting to change!
Halls, I'd like to thank you for really giving me a good start on learning PHP/MySQL. I followed the first few videos of your MMO tutorials and after setting up my own basic registration and login, I started to do my own little things. I have a few different ideas as to what sort of game I'd like to make, but haven't settled on any one (or just one to start with
).
I'm sure in the coming weeks and months I'll slowly start to become part of this community helping other members with their ideas.
