Hello Indie Resource! This is my Design Document or whatever you may call it for my Browser Based MMORPG Still Standing. As the name may suggest, depending on how you interpret it, it is in a post-apocalyptic setting in which everyone tries to stay alive. There are many features that I can envision in this game but, might not be able to accomplished at my level of expertise, which will take quite a while to heighten which means this game won't be out for some time. I have thought of the basics in which will be accomplished quite simply and will begin listing them below.

Register
Login
Character Creation
Attack System
Basic Bodily Needs (Water, Food, Rest)
Movement System
Inventory and Equip Item
Personal Messaging
Banking

Now that will probably take me (Estimated) 9-12 months to get down all of those features without bugs and such. Now here comes the hard part :)

Alliance Clan Guild Whatever you want to call it :P system (Will be explained when done listing features)
Visual Map System
Overall Layout (CSS)
Loot System
Generating Area (Explained after)
PVP
Chat
Loans and Lending Items (With things to make them return to the owner so no stealing occurs)
Random Events
Roaming Monster AI
Group Strongholds and Player housing and Player Made and Maintained cities.

Now, about this Clan thing, there are different types of Clans, Caravan (Merchants), Mercenary(Zombie Extermination and the like), Village (Small Community of Players that live together), and Cities (Very large organized group of people that live together)

The generating area thing is basically the map is constantly generating the farther the player goes out. I don't like to have to constantly release new areas and add new content. I like the idea of having the players do the majority of everything in the game. I supply the code they supply the game basically. As with the group strongholds player housing and player maintained cities the same thing applies the players really are what will power this game and allow them to get to know they're fellow players and survive in this post-apocalyptic nightmare. I hope you all have an insight on what my visions for this game will be and don't get your hopes up for this game to be done soon. It will take a lot of time, patience, and self-motivation for me to get this done. Thanks for reading this!

Hi,

Can you actually die?

And how do you mean the players power the game?

Yes you can die, I have yet to determine the consequences of death yet. By "The players power the game" I mean, They populate the world, They make the areas and cities, They run the economy, They explore, they maintain and make weapons, and they survive.

I just wanted to note a drastic change. I will no longer be doing a map system for alpha testing after tinkering with it for the past week and producing absolutely no results. It will still have the most of same features, just no map.
