Make Information/resources/tips & tricks available

Hello everyone, I have been looking into this for a while now.
There aren't really so much resources out there for us developers in web games,
and if we look at other coding areas etc for Game Dev, there is a lot of tutorials, graphics, code,
tips & tricks, etc etc, so what i have decided is too get the ball rolling on making more resources
available for every developer out there,

It's easy, if everyone is fact hunting for like tutorials, tips & tricks, etc
and other resources that might be useful, to take a while to post it here.
that way we can all get more access to a variety of information.

Also the bigger it gets at last we might have enough to make a database,
of information so if everyone would be so kind to help each other then we can
really make a step to a great win for the,

It is a neat idea, but the problem with posting random pieces of game development in one place is that it loses its "search-ability". A large repository of game dev information is basically what this entire forum is. I believe we had a wiki at one time, which would be a better place to store that kind of info, but I think there was little interest shown in it (I could be pulling that out of the air, but I seem to recall that).

The best way to help out the community is by answering questions and posting tutorials in the tutorials forum section

i have just gotten the trick for keeping "search-ability" alive, it's easy
if you post you have to put in the subject line [resource] or [short tag here for what it is you have posted //tips &tricks, tutorial, link, sprite, code-sample etc], and then you can just search the tag and you get everything related to it, also if you want to keep it extra tag happy you can add a number to the end of the tag like [tips & tricks - 457], that way you can search just for one tips & tricks post, also i would help keep an index of everything, i know that we can make it work! (we just need others to feel it to!)

I would have to agree with Jack on this one. Its a great idea, but the way things are here, already work. Searching for something is not hard, just use the search feature above, or use the advanced search. I know I have used it several times.

But we are working to clean things up, placing topics in the right area, so its even easier to find...

it seems that i haven't made everything clear I'm not trying to mess with the setup at the indie-resources I'm just trying to make more resources
available in a more clear index way it does not Mather if it's laid in this thread or if you want to keep it in the sections you already got setup,
that is all good maybe it's my fault i might have not getting my msg clear or if it got misinterpreted in any case, what I'm after "And this is the only thing", is to make sure we in the community of pbbg/bbg developers get more resources out there, so we can build more and learn more,
and just make a new awesome thing for all of us in this part of dev spot.

Ahhh, gotcha! Absolutely, we can all do more to get more resources out there. The best resource out there to date that I have found (and I have looked long and hard) is Halls' video tutorial series, hands down. There are a string of completed projects from new programmers to prove its effectiveness. But we could do well with more video and written tutorials in the tutorial section. Maybe once spring semester in school is out and more people would have more time we could possibly get a tutorial contest together to kind of re-ignite the community as far as releasing tutorials and free code/applications for development purposes.

I would be happy to give mod/admin access to the wiki to anyone who wants it. I would love a better organization to the site so I am open for suggestions. I would like to get the wiki going again then have links and titles lead to forum posts and resources.
