So i have decided to release some more of my unfinished games.
Farm Game - Very unfinished but shows the use of the Javascript game library and quite a bit of javascript and ajax.
Space Game - Real time movement, heavy javascript.
Look for the videos and source soon.
I have been back and forth for a bit dealing with other games and 3d stuff but I am making my return back to web development. I am looking to get started on a new web game shortly and looking to make it truly unique.

Hey there, looking forward to the space themed game.
Halls, is it not an idea to start working on a community game? A web game obviously, PHP/Mysql and html/css/js. Many people here are looking for info on web games anyway, so a good and viable option would be to create such a game.
Anyway, i just think this would help the community out, not because of the scripts, but because of the community working together, which is always cool. Chris had the idea to create a framework, but the topic ended prematurely. One way or another, both idea`s look sweet. To me that is..

yes we could possibly work on a community game where we just share all code. I would instead like to find a open source one that we get running then modify it all together and people can add to it as they wish.
Would be easier than starting from scratch. If anyone has one they think would be good let me know and I will host it here.

I found one framework that actually suplements game development in PHP, it was Open Source, however, it was also very old ( i believe 04) so i never really looked at it. On the other hand, Petermax also found an open source kit for PHP i believe, yet again, not a viable option if you ask me. then again, we could always check it out.
So if there is going to be an open source framework, it should probably come from one of the users. If no framework is found, i could start writing out some code, in the hope others will join.
In that case I`m only going to focus on backend then, since front-end ( or the game itself ) should be as generic as possible. That way the game is not fixated on true RPG ( walking, etc ) or PBBG ( text based click ) However, i do believe that we could create a modular system whereas a user can decide what kind of game he wants and load the appropriate modules.

Then why not start using one of your projects? You have a lot of games made, i guess your games would suit as a good start for a new game!

I don't think it would be such a bad idea if you took some of the more contributing users and work on a game together, I would love to see what happens!.

Believe me, it has been tried before
The problem is that everyone has their own projects, and people rarely sign-up to help on other dev's games.
