looking for some kind hearted translator :)

Ok with my project picking up the pace and all the bits slowly falling into place, i am in need of some translating done to fully test some parts of it.

I do have a dutch friend helping out when ever she can, but with work and collage work, we very rarly get time to talk and even when we do we tend to get side tracked

currently there is only a couple of pages that need translating, but i am hoping who ever helps will continue to work on the project and continue to translate and keep it up to date.

I am looking for someone who knows HTML (as there are html embedded in some of the script) and also someone who is fluent enough in both english and the translated language in order to translate properly.

the project is a full website / forum being coded from scratch. and the only files the translator will have to worry about dealing with is the language files which is built up of an array and the email template files.

i would prefer a european language like french, german etc. But at the moment i am not overly fussed :p

this will not be a paid job (sorry)

I am also aware i could use an online translator, but i hate them things with a passion and would much rather having a walking talking human being

I could translate it into Latin - the language they used two thousand years back in Rome.

I don't know if it would actually be helpful for the game though.

Anyway, what's the site for? I already love the co-ordinate system captcha on the registration page.

using phpbb was getting to awkward to work around to do what i wanted. and as i have always wanted to create a forum from scratch i thought that this would be a good time to do it.

Its not a game, but more of a localalized gaming community which will give users access to games using their PBW accounts, which as explained in the above link has the chance to benefit many

Interesting project. Black Widow will definitely be something that I'll want keep up to date with.

Be sure to have an API.

As for why I know Latin, it's because of it's unique linguistic structure. It's evolved over these thousands of years to become an extremely complex but stable language. It's more akin to a computer language than anything due to it's structure: The last few letters of a word encode the word's properties while the first part (the stem) gives actual meaning. And to actually read what people wrote a thousand years ago and understand it is... awesome.

well each to their own lol. I have heard latin is an interesting language, but i have enough trouble with english at times lol. and probably wouldnt have the patients or time to learn it :p

as for the API i plan on developing this once i get the basics of my user table sorted and decided how i am going to write it. I think it will have to be done in JS and will probably go for some good ol vannila flavored stuff aswell lol. (which means summit new to learn cuz i could never get my head round it lol)

I hope you do follow it pax and i will do my best to get things running and kept up to date as often as possable. Once i have the basics of the forum working (posting etc) i will start a new thread on the development section

It's supposed to be 'Ich spreche Deutsch' not 'Ich schpreken sie desutch'
'sie' is second person singular/plural and spreken is the infinitive form

Did I forgot to mention that I know a few more languages?
