Hello everybody,
First I would like to ask you: do you know any truck or transport browser games?
If answer is NO, I'd like to start create one.
Let say I have idea, I watched (and download) video tutorial created by hallsofvallhalla, I plan to try create something and then show here
But main problem, and question: if I'm not familiar with trucks, transport, etc where is good place to search it? To create game attractive and with flexible solution, now matter where u from?
Additional, as I'm not graphic specialist, where can I find someone?
I will try to write more about my idea next time.
See ya!

Of course the
Wikipedia page would be a good place to start. Also just Google around for more info about the industry. If you know a trucker, see if they will sit down and talk to you about it.
As far as graphics go, your best bet is to just begin making the game with place-holder graphics. Once you gave a good deal of the game done, it will be much easier to attract artists to make content for your game.

Wikipedia would be my place to go. However, if you are looking for a graphics artist; you could look into the recruitment part of the forums.

This sounds interesting.. Never heard of one no. But what would the features be?
I thought up a good one. A skill that involves picking up the most amount of crack whores on a trip?

my father was a truck driver for 40+ years. I think a cargo haul type game where you manager trips, your truck, gas, maintenance, ect.. would be fun. Keep us posted.

I knew I heard of something like this before and I found it. It is a game called Euro Truck Simulator and it looks pretty fun. However, it isn't a browser so maybe you could make it multiplayer? Would be fun but hard. Here is the link to the game to give you an idea maybe:
http://www.eurotrucksimulator.com/index.php

Thank you very much for your interest and words of encouragement:) Also, thank you for the link:)
The basic questions:
Is it possible (and safe

) to describe ideas in the forum? If so, in which forum section?
Is there game desciption template, which can be used for?
A few details: start as a driver with basic skills that you need to develop and basic car, carry the goods by choosing orders, earn money for better and bigger cars, possibility to create own transport company, whores (optional

).
I'd like to use as road base E-road network in Europe (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E-road_network), Asian Higway Network (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asian_Highway_Network) and Interstate Highway (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interstate_Highway).
First of all, I'd like to have "clear" picture of idea, describe it. Then will start to create, maybe with Your help also if You will be interested.

I think it's definitely safe to post ideas. You'll find that ideas are a dime a dozen - if you are worried about someone stealing it, don't. These people are all developers or designers with their own ideas to work on, so I wouldn't be worried about them taking yours.

Probably in the recruitment section, if you're looking for team members, but if just want to share the idea, I'd say general development? (might want to ask Halls that one)
As for the description, I'd just make sure you get the most important things covered. What platform will this be released on? What language(s) will it be written in? Is there anyone else on your team already? How exactly will the game work? What is your target audience? Stuff like that.

Yeah, don't worry at all about people stealing ideas. No one can "see" your idea like you do, therefore they don't really get excited enough about it to see it through to completion on their own. To my knowledge, no ideas to date have been stolen here, nor is it likely to ever happen.
As far as what forum to simply share game ideas, that would likely be "Game Design". "General Development" is more geared to the actual technical work involved in making a game.

Hi again,
thank you for suggestions.
I do apologize for my suspicions. I did not have anything bad to say.
If I have question about solutions can I post it here?
When I will describe basics, logic and so on then I will get back to forum
Problem is, that I have basic knowledge about PHP, HTML, but has no experience in creating games. Would like to sorry in advance, because sometimes my question can be from "stupid one".
Technology is still marked as "open". Maybe PHP, maybe ASP.
It's only me with idea, and willingness to continue learning through the incarnation of an idea into effect.
