So I just got my first smart phone...

So I'm officially a smart phone owner. I just impulsively decided that my phone was a dinosaur and needed to be upgraded, and went out and upgraded my plan and bought the myTouch 4g. After some initial problems (I had a defective unit, and had to exchange it), I am absolutely loving it. The android OS is awesome, and some of the things you can do with this phone are just plain awesome.

Anyway, my question to you guys is, have you jumped on the smart phone wagon yet? If you haven't, why not?

I got a HTC Trophy 7,With Windows Phone 7, pretty neat OS. Pity the marketplace isn't all that big yet. But I would rather have it to Android any day.

I don't see that much wrong with the droid OS. There's a few changes I would make, one being that too many apps stay open when you think you're closing them, so having something like Task Killer is a must.

I also wish you could uninstall some of the factory stuff. (mine came with some game demos I don't want or need anymore, but it won't let me uninstall. I'm wondering if there's an app that can do this)

Although I haven't messed too much with WP7 phones, I would venture to say that anything WP7 can do Android can do.

Why exactly would you rather have WP7 over Android?

It's more original than a simple wannabe iOS. It hasn't crashed on me yet. And after being through a few Android and Windows Mobile 6 phones. I don't think I'll be going back, even though they don't have a marketplace for my country yet.

A few things I would like are a VLC viewer or Remote Desktop client that don't need another special server running on your computer and a better browser, the version of IE on it sucks even worse than IE6.

Things I like about WP7 is it's a closed marketplace like for iOS. It used to bug me on my iPod but the benefits of it are simple. No crappy programs :D. I also like how fast and simple it is to navigate. Updates for the OS are simply downloaded straight to your phone. No need to connect it to a PC. There's an update coming in February that will allow Multitasking and copy paste functionality. Hopefully a dutch marketplace as well.

Wait I'm not sure I understood that correctly. Are you saying you like, or you don't like Win6?

it is so stupid it makes stupid look so smart that it is stupid causing stupid to look stupid building up a stupid cloud that radiates so much stupid there is no visibility of anything but stupid.
