Lets build a super duper front-end!

Halls has said we can setup a team to rebuild the front bit of the website and turn it into something totally sweet.
I would definitely like to work on it, not saying as a leader, but definitely as a developer.

I think we are still going to use Joomla, although i guess that is changeable.
Maybe a link between the forum users database and the front so as users can post tutorials and articles, or at least a way of users submitting them for approval.
Think maybe a new logo? To reflect our more web-based direction?
Project pages and blogs?
Finish and promote the money game, or one of the FS games?

Need a few more guys to work on this... So lets make it awesome!

we will stick with joomla and I already have setup the forum-website bridge

If you guys build the front page I will build a game to go with it. We could actually build a few but i will work on a game for us. Maybe my Forum farms game. I will turn it into a true community project if we want. I will make a separate post.

Yeah I had mentioned that I could work on it, it would just have to be sporadically as I have my business to tend to and several projects underway. So what's the dev plan? Are we just going to create a tutorial portal on the front page?

If so we could consider a CCK component for joomla. Also a code highlighter and maybe a downloads extension to provide tutorial video downloads. That's really a bandwidth hog though but just for consideration.

What exactly all do we plan to do with the frontend?

And Halls, the phpBB bridge, are you using an extension or did you code one yourself?
