What company would you suggest is a good for hosting servers?

I have looked at Wolfpaw and Monster thus far.

I want to have a website, forums, my personal e-mail (possibly), and host some text base games to the scale of Iron Realms/ Skotos.

I am looking to build a community similar to the companies I mentioned.

I'll be using mediatemple for all of my hosting needs more than likely.

TY, it looks like a good recommendation. Imotion seemed to be geared for business purposes and Wolfpaw, seems to be down.

Honestly 100 different people would likely give you 100 different answers. I believe that there are thousands of good hosts, and a handful of bad ones. Just be sure not to pay for a long contract before you try a particular host out for a month or two.

Hostgator's center is about 15 minutes from my house. They are a pretty big outfit.

Hostgator and GoDaddy I think are the top picks for this services. More on GoDaddy I guess for services and stability on servers.

Have you looked into Digital Ocean. for $5/mo. you can do a lot, the only downside is at first you need to be comfortable with CLI to get you going

We don't have a very good track record with GoDaddy. They are overpriced and under-deliver. The site has been running 20x better since we moved to A Small Orange.
