LOL I fell off the world
Every time I see a top-down shooter, I think of Gauntlet. "Warrior needs food!" I shudder to think how many quarters I spent on the arcade version of that!

Wow, that's swish!
Making a gauntlet game would be cool - perhaps keep the guy and have some sort of modern setting?

I need to go find me a copy of gauntlet now. But with the modern dude, it makes me think more of a modern grand theft auto.

Isn't that what grand theft auto is? Modern gauntlet, but with police stars? "Wizard has rolled his car!"
Anyway, given results like this, would it be better to learn unity than it would be to learn flash? Particularly as flash is really designed for animations rather than making games? I mean, it seems with unity if I wanted to bastardised it down to a 2D game I could anyway.
I was just starting to learn some basics of flash when I got onto the tutorials here.

Lol!
And flash wasn't really intended for animations. It kind of just happened. I recommend Toonboom Studio for animations

i like unity better than flash, but in my example I am using all 3d models. No sprite animations.
