Hello,
Just a wee hello to the community. I've been a regular visitor of the site for about a year, only now decided to join
I'm not much of an indie developer more of a hobbiest. I've been using Realmcrafter recently but due to the limitation and the hundreds I've spent on it I've decided to give up on the engine.. I'm currently dabbling with unity as I intend to redo my RC project in Unity. I dont have much... well not really got any experiance with programming or scripting but the whole game development has facinated me since watching my som play browser games and mmorpgs.
well thats a little bit about me
Mouff.

Hey Halls tnx for the welcome,
Just to add... I think your tutorials were awesome for the browser game. I made a little browser game with my son and used your tut to expand on the game.
As for my project it's your usual generic mmo it's all currently designed around the RC engine, but since I'd like to use unity alot will obviously change due to the scripting language issues (better improvement hopefully). The basic concept is 3 factions each playable with each faction having it's own seperate story to follow until 1/2 way through the game when all 3 stories combine as each faction realises they have a common enemy to fight.
the game will be made in 3 story stages combining to form one imence story game
1. Each faction will begin in their own starter area, which will consist of the begining storyline which will result in the destruction of each faction (each faction will not be able to interact at this stage unless they join pvp area) story ends with a large battle with the players forces being defeated.
2. The game will then progress with the main story (unite the kings) where each faction having being ousted from their home will begin the process of combining to a large force..
3. this stage will result in a final conflict and will have a seperate game style as the first 2. as this story prgresses the player/group retakes the land that was once their home each erea will be unlocked as the player/group achieves the mission/story objectives
What I'd like to achieve with the development of my game is having a seperate pvp only area out side of the main story game, ie, where the factions can fight over territory or resources.
well thats the basics of my game, I'm currently in the process of converting all my current media to suite unity. then it'll be on redeveloping my game. I managed to achieve the complete first story with the RC engine, however i got so frustrated I thought i'd probs be best chosing and learning a new engine by the time i manage to achieve an end result with RC. not that i dont not like RC... well i dont, but it does have a good community (sometimes lol)
