well...I am working on faction wars and it requires a lot of work I can see that but I am not giving up. I just need a couple side projects just to help me get into the spirit of designing seeing as I haven't been doing any writing or coding lately. So could you guys just help me out a little and give me an idea I could build on. I don't mean to seem helpless just most of my ideas haven't been working lately and I have been on somewhat of a writers block of game ideas :(

I'll recommend a more holistic approach - find a game idea which is fun in the very short term - like fun within thirty seconds. Not fun after an hour (or two hours!) of playing, like many multiplayer games are, but fun in the very short term/within a minute.

Where to find this idea - look back at your own history of gaming and find something you found fun in the moment (not fun after having used the program or rules for an hour, fun after about thirty seconds).

Because I could suggest ideas, but they might just not match your idea of fun - particularly if your burnt out. When your burnt out, your less inclined to do fun things related to what your burnt out on. Making it even harder for anything I suggest (or anyone else) to match up.

One thing that causes burn out, I think, is coding for ages and ages with no payoff - it makes the mind disinclined, perhaps quite rightly, to keep doing something that does not payoff. Need to code something that is quickly done and pays off, to prove to yourself coding is still worthwhile.

</holistic>

PS: I think you signed up for my game, but I had a glitch in the log in - it's fixed now!

makes a ton of sense and I do enjoy your game and am currently playing that right now but I will find something fun that will inspire me to maybe take the game to a new level or a new perspective...but all the while not stealing their ideas :)
