Actually kevin your more likely to make money from mac, and Linux users than you are windows. Maybe not as much in the case of that this is an engine than a game. But in most cases alot of indie company's make most of there money from mac and Linux. And make some from windows users.

soooo here's what the UI is going to look like...

it uses the oh so familiar ribbon that we all hate and love (except you can collapse and expand it now for more screenspace) and the visual studio style layout (File view, class view, properties, etc).. OBVIOUSLY this is just the template..so expect game-related views/buttons/everything soon!

now, if you double-click the tab, the ribbon will dock itself as seen in Office 2007 (i changed the style on this one BTW):

MFC is convoluted...yet amazing... just gotta love Win32 API >.<
