Old news cast of very eary MMORPG

While the "massive" part can be questioned, there is no doubt that Island of Kesnai is one of the earliest non-ARPANET graphical MMORPGs. Using psuedo-graphics made up of ASCII characters (termed "roguelike" graphics), it may remind MUD players of ASCII maps used in some MUDs. It debuted on Compuserve in 1985 on their pre-internet proprietary nationwide network. I just found this news cast on YouTube. Quite interesting :)

Thanks, that's a good historical video...


That said, I'm looking at the chat and can't help think of a comedy version where the worst of barrens chat, trade chat and gold spammers kicks in...

I mean, you can even see someone making a joke the dog is temple trained in it!

And the guys surname is ORKIN!!!!!!!!

This skit writes itself!
