What's hard to believe, Engineering schools use them all the time. Interesting that it is so small though. Its usually the step before actually getting things machined and manufactured for real.

Yup, these are very very real. I wish I had one for the high poly sculpts.

You could always head over to growit.com and get it done, buts its not cheap.

i know they exist I was meaning the movie posted under the comment. They make it seem that the crazy multi-geared stuff comes right out of the printer that way.

No, it doesn't come out right like that. You have to print each seperate piece and assemble them, they were just showing the finished product of some things you can do with it.

We have one at my school that can print out up to I believe 24" tall models. All we have to pay for is supplies.

yeah thats what I meant, the videos show them taking them out of the mold assembled.

I wonder if they'll make a scanner/printer XD. 2 guesses what I'd do.
