24 hours of modelling - Frag Fest

Every semester my school has an event called Frag Fest. They have 2 competitions (3D Assets and Level Design), in which they give you a theme (the day of, no one knows the theme before the event starts) and you have 24 hours to do whatever you want related to the theme. You're allowed a group if you want to make a level design, but I opted for the 3D Asset competition.
Our theme was Goblinoid (just goblin themed). First thing that popped into my head was the Warhammer 40K series and doing a sorta futuristic vehicle that the Orks have in W40K.
So far, after roughly 2.5 hours of modelling, here's how far I've gotten. Sits at 18k polys so far (making a high-poly.)

Still need to make it more..goblin-ish, as it's looking too "tech" right now.

Second milestone, 12 hours in...Every 6 hours we get 2 "wrenches" thrown in. The first milestone, our two wrenches were to inclue the houndstooth texture somewhere in our scene, and the second was to include the model of a banana anywhere in the scene. About to go to our second milestone meeting to see what the next wrenches are and how far along everyone is.
Here's my progress..For the past hour or two (I lost track of time..) I've been UVing out the entire vehicle. I have NEVER UV'd anything in my life, so it's definitely an...interesting project. Plus, I'm running on about 4 hours of sleep in the past 2 days, and I'm not gonna be getting any sleep any time soon..3rd milestone should be interesting
Lalala.

3rd milestone...6 hours to go. The 3rd wrench we got thrown in was we had to have sausage links somewhere in the scene, lol. O.o
Finished UVing (holy hell, pain in the ass), and texturing for the most part. I'm pretty much done with it, partially since I think it looks pretty good and is done, but mostly because I've been working for 18 hours straight and I'm friggen exhausted.

Just got home from the event. I got 2nd place!
I won a $15 Best Buy gift card, plus I got special recognition for showing the most progress and growth, while only being a freshman. For that recognition I got a Bamboo Pen and Touch tablet, which is worth $100!
Now I need some friggen sleep. Hah! Definitely worth it though.
