Why would players attack creatures or make money through a profile page? Profile pages usually just serve basic information about a player and his character. That kind of profile page can be made by simply reading values previously saved in the database. Since the game itself is played through a browser, why not just let players kill creatures and make money in the game?

Jackolantern - he could use the profile page as a place to, lets say, collect his money from businesses he owns or something of that sort. That'd be a practical application of using the profile page for killing/money making. Another would be if you had and PvP type of combat, you could have an "Attack Player" button on their profile.
Anyway, I'd imagine that if you finished the whole tutorial and had the solid game down, you'd have the knowledge to add the elements you've already added into a "profile page", per se..Just a guess, though, as I havn't personally went through the MMO tutorial.

Ahh, those examples make sense. And yes, everything you would need to add those features is in the tutorial videos. Maybe go back through them and see if you missed anything. What you are asking has taken Halls 18+ videos to explain, so I don't know if we could really condense it for you while making the very minor tweeks to add it to a profile page. Just understand that what Halls is explaining can apply to any page, be it a world map or a profile page.
