While I don't believe in banning torrent discussion in forums I do feel that there should be some things not announced. If you get your software from torrents then keep it to yourself. If you want to tell someone to torrent then do it in a PM not in open discussion.

Everyone has different beliefs on torrents but one fact remains. Pirating software IS illegal whether you think it is or not. We have to keep inline here on the forums so please follow those simple rules. You may discuss torrents for not all of them are illegal, but do not suggest people to steal software in a post. I think this is fair to ask.

I myself have never torrented mainly because I'm afraid of virus's. However despite that I find it wrong mainly because I hate stealing and don't want to get caught with stolen software on my computer. My friend however torrents EVERYTHING because he is to cheap to buy it I find it sort of annoying because he brags about all the software he torrents yet he doesn't say he torrented them and his friends are like "ooh how'd you afford that? you must have a lot of money

Well, it doesn't work quite like that, but when law enforcement and/or the government want your IP address, they can get it.
