Top PBBG is a site i builded customizing the aardvark topsite script.

It is a free way to get some traffic and show your game, and it's dedicated mostly to indie developers.

Currently working features:

- It's possible to specify many details about the game
- It's possible to set up a reward url, for incentivating your players to vote your site.
There is a tutorial on the forum to help you out with the functionality
- It's possible to upload upto 8 screenshots

Yes it's free, my wish is to give opportunities to indie developers (which includes me) to give visibility to their game and get some traffic.

When he will get a decent (in my opinion) traffic i will sell advertising space or the possibility to acquire premium accounts that will highlight the game, however the registration will be always free.

You can add your game even if it is in development but i think it's better to add it when it is at least in alpha.

whats the 'in/out' thing all about??? im guessing you dont shake it all about. i have never really understood it lol

Unique INs: represents the unique votes(per IP address and per day) of game players that votes the game through the button in the game.
Total INs: total votes of game players that votes the game through the button in the game.

Example: if a player with the same IP address clicks the button three times:

Unique INs: 1
Total INS: 3

Unique OUTs: unique visits sent to the games (per IP address and per day)
Total OUTs: total visits sent to the games

Example: A visitor with the same IP visits the site clicking three times on a banner on top-pbbg.com

Unique OUTs: 1
Total OUTs: 3

i like the way that works.

It is probably the most common way of ranking "Top 20 X Game Sites". I have seen the same ranking method hundreds of times before, but was not quite sure what it meant either. However, for players who find games based on Top Game sites, the ranking system should be very familiar.

The site looks very good, and it is in line with other common Top Game sites. It should do well with some basic advertising (Google search optimization, etc.).

If you look at other topsites (i am speaking about the one derived from aardvark topsite) they just have the basic functionalities, because the script is taken and just installed, i am heavily customizing the script.

I am adding now the possibility for the game owners to publish news or promo with feeds;

I am also considering to rewrite the rating system to include not only the votes coming from the game "registered members" but also from the entire community from players, this is a bit more difficult though so i would have to think about it.

An interesting functionality for Game Owners has been added recently on Top PBBG, Game Owners now have the opportunity to publish News about their game and Offers.

Adding and Modifing a news or a Promo
In the User Control panel it's possible to add, edit, preview or delete a News or a Promo.
Edit and Delete are allowed until the news/promo is approved and published.

A News description can be maximum 2048 characters long, a Promo description can be maximum 512 characters long.



Viewing Promos and News

News and promos can be viewed in three different places:

[li]Archive Page (All news and offers)[/li]
[li]Game Details (All Game news and offers)[/li]

PBBG Visitors can subscribe to the feed on the Home page that will show the last 10 News and Offers.
