Hello

I'm searching for a tutorial that learns you everything from scratch.

What i need to know:


1. What programs do i need?

2. How can i create an php document

3. How can i turn php documents in visual software

4. etc...


I tried the tutorial of the forsaken sanctum, but i guess Wamp updated because when i right click on the icon it gives me a list of About, Help and Exit nothing more... Also when i go to firefox and i type in localhost then i just get an white page...

Start with Video 1 of the browser tutorial series - it starts with telling you what to download and install and goes from there.

but if you must know
you need a server:(XAMPP or WAMP) I prefer wamp
conText
to create the document go to conText and go up to the top at the drop down arrow and instead of text choose php
then when you are done save it in wamp->www->folder or in the www file
then access it when your services are running like this localhost/Tutorial/test.php

Instead of conText, I prefer Notepad++

conText acts funky sometimes and I just didn't care for it - but yeah, Halls uses conText in the videos.

notepad++ will also work for the videos. I change to adobe dreamweaver later in the videos

Adobe is WAYYYY too expensive on my budget. A 13 year olds allowance

Ah, I remember the days... making Quake levels in Notepad... before any BSP editors had been released yet.
