Edit: Not exactly sure how Firebug will tell me whats loading slowly. I can see whats loading slowly, all of the images.. also I can see the "Loading" bit on your ajax calls.
@halls: I am on a pretty good line :p
Falken mind using microtime to see how fast the site is loading. Kind of like how
http://www.phpbench.com/ does.
EDIT2: Might have been downloading, seems to be ok now. Even after clearing cache.
Ah ok, that might explain alittle.
But thanks for microtime tip, will try it out

Wasn't assuming you weren't, but things tend to run a lot faster for me from this DS3 so just making sure

DS3 = ??? :p
How many mbps?
I will get 100mbps down and 10mbps up in about 1-2 weeks

Falken, if you are talking about school that's a shared connection :p. Having 100 mbps down to yourself would cost like 600 - 2k a month if I remember correctly.
For one person, that would translate to something like 12,800 KB/s

Sweden Servers/connections are faster than ours for rural. Commercially I think we are in same league. Maybe faster, I am not sure. We have one building(data center) in Atlanta that run 50 of the top 400 businesses data through so I imagine it has some icredible speeds and technology. I am far from a expert on this subject though.
A DS3 line (also known as a T-3) is an ultra high-speed connection capable of transmitting data at rates up to 45 Mbps. A DS3 line is equal to approximately 672 regular voice-grade telephone lines, which is fast enough to transmit full-motion, real-time video, and very large databases over a busy network. A DS3 line is typically installed as a major networking artery for large corporations and universities with high-volume network traffic. Other example applications include large call centers, enterprise wide VoIP and IP PBX systems, Internet service providers, research labs, video conference centers and software development companies. A DS3 is the second fastest, non optical connection offered in North America. A DS3 line is comprised of 28 T1 lines, each operating at total signaling rate of 1.544 Mbps.
We currently have 12 servers and 450 computers 1 PBX with 300 virtual lines on it and only use about 20% at any given time.

Good, now do this.

And dude, where do you work? And I forgot that Falken was from Sweden. But I think Jatt said that he had a 100Mbps line for his apartment, and that that was the cost. I don't remember though, it was so long ago.

Ye in sweden many appartments have fiber connection, giving up to 100mbps in both direction, for only about $40/month

Welp, if I ever expatriate. I know where I am going. But is that connection split or dedicated?

the fiber is split to the all appartments in the house, but you everyone are guarenteed atleast 60mbps each. My friends average at about 75mbps. You loose quite some speed in your private network, for example an ordinarie router is a bottleneck.
