well i was thinking of 2 different types of design through the browser.

1. all text based and light graphics. Lets say you enter house to barricade. You would be faced with bars and a % of the windows and doors are barricaded. Also with links to search things, like cabinets, ect..some have traps and players can set traps.

or

2. I give a map that the database fills with things and you can click on each cabinet, barrel, window, door, ect.. like in the below example.

both have their good and bad.

I am leaning more towards the first one.

hmm got to thinking about a twist...

its the future, aliens attack and nearly wipe us out. The few humans left, the players, are trying to survive in the ruins of the war torn cities. Aliens patrol the cities looking for humans. There is a underground city that is safe but humans go out into the ruined cities looking for food and fortune. You have to barricade yourself when not playing and search the cities for stuff.

You can find vehicles but must find gas. You can fight the aliens but they are extremely powerful. Food is rare. Survival is the key.

Dude stay out of my head.. :D . i had an idea similar to that a few days ago minus the underground city part i was thinking just have people barricade buildings and the main plot was actually to work to destroy the aliens... but along the same lines

hehe great minds think alike ;)

I was also thinking you can be alien or human. Nice little war for the players :)

As an alien you can search out the humans and bash buildings looking for humans. As a human you run from the aliens and build up the buildings to keep them out.

That actually sounds like a perfect great game. because it satisfies the type that love just running around destroying and massacring everything and the type that like to use strategy and tactics to hide. that sounds like a winner to me :)

I recommend you to play some www.urbandead.com and see what they got.
See how you can make it better.
In my opinion; their skill system is stopped very early due to low capacity, that sucks :(
Not my kind of game either.

I wish you good luck in the making of.
We need better zombie games :)
