I will probably not be updating the full video collection, since I would have to re-archive and upload the whole thing after each video is created. I will just keep uploading the new videos as single downloads.

Doh! I forgot that downloading many single files is a problem for people who don't have a Rapidshare account. Well, I will probably re-archive the all-in-one download every few videos then. I will probably wait for a couple more before doing it again, though.

why not upload them to Veoh? then people will just need the player and a free account to download the videos to watch whenever they want

That is a dependent file type as far as I know. If Veoh changed something, you would not be able to watch them anymore. Also, does it still require an internet connection to verify the Veoh login info?

It is pretty much just as easy for me to upload them to a file sharing service, and then everyone who downloads them will have the file. If anyone else wants to add them to other file sharing sites, they are of course welcome to do that.

What is wrong with just downloading them one by one? Maybe at the very end there could be a single download for all videos. I have no problem with having seperate files.

I also didn't know how the files would work by sharing them on something like dropbox?

I'm sure Dropbox would work fine for these. I personally would much rather they be hosted on something like Dropbox or Mediafire than RapidShare.
