Are you rendering a bunch of images for this? Probably with some reuse, yeah? It looks really nice.

Personally though I'm more of a tactile person myself - if there was an image map so you could click on trees to collect bark, click on grass to rip some up, etc, it'd make to go from an image to place to interact with. What do you do with the bark and grass? Dunno, but atleast if as a player I can do something with the picture, then it's not just about looking, it's also about touching/interacting. Maybe just use the bark and grass to help make a campfire latter.

Is that the sort of feedback your looking for?

yep and I have been working all last week on a new map system and it seems to be working out really well. I am reusing a idea of a map system I seen a few years back. It is a expanded version of the current FS 1.0 one but slimmed down and streamlined with realtime aspects. Hope to have some screens soon.
