Heres the link to check out the level set up so far..I looove how easy Unity is to export for web :x

The level is very very basic in very early stages of development obviously. It's pretty much completely bare except for the center you start at, which I'm not even going to end up keeping like that, but meh. What I'm most proud of is the quick minimap I got working :)

Wow, nice stuff :) I hadn't actually seen a Unity game running in the browser before.

Super smooth for browser too, eh? I've ran a couple network tests with myself and my roommate with huge scenes on browser-based with no slowdowns on either system (mine's a custom built gamer pc, his is a macbook pro). Unity does some amazing stuff.

Plus, I had also built a standalone version of the network test, and it can connect in and mesh right up to the browser versions, so I may have two versions available..a browser based for if you're on the go, and a downloadable version for higher resolution etc. :)

Looking good so far! Unity is definitely one of the best low-cost engines around.

Runs nice and smoothly, a little too smoothly... I would suggest spreading out the flora across the map, but I'm sure you already had that in mind.

Great work!

Gonna try to get some more work done on it tonight.

Very nice work Lux. Nice job with the terrain, I lose patience with it and want it to just be done ends up looking sloppy

Thanks guys. I usually hate sculpting the terrain too, plus I had no image in my head on how I'd actually lay it out, but I figured I'll just start and see what I can do. I'm pretty happy with how the shape came out, though.

Having a FPS game with weapons like swords and clubs is an early problem you must address. Usually having fps with guns is more action since its easier to get to work perfect, games with swords seem alot of button mashing and slashy. Skill in using a weapon is void unless you did rpg style which then makes it have so many more angles of gameplay and with stat development etc etc.

The sword worked in Halo, but thats because they were big one hit killers basically which is what you would have to go with since having one hit killers takes away from the basicness of the weapon.

The Idea is very cool though, but just something to think about.
