wow that was really interesting, i had already heard that it was done mo-cap but that was miles cleverer than i had previously thought. Tis a very cool movie tho.

Yes, it was amazing. I saw it in 3D (there were no theaters showing it in non-3D down here) and it was mind-blowing. I also suggest for anyone to see it now in theaters, because that is the only place you can see it in RealD 3D (IMAX 3D), which is the way to see it by far. If you wait until it comes to DVD, you will have to see it with the crappy Red-Cyan 3D glasses, which will ruin all the colors of the world. Home TVs and monitors cannot filter light correctly to use the RealD 3D glasses, sadly. So again, see it now.

It is one of my favorite movies now, too, which I was not really expecting (I don't normally even like movies like this, and definitely not James Cameron movies). The story was a bit rehashed, and had some cliches and cheesy parts, but as Roger Ebert put it, those parts actually work well for the movie, and anchor you with something familiar in a completely foreign world.

I saw it earlier today. Was pretty amazing. The visuals were awesome. Story better than most. I give it 9 out of 10.

That is about how I felt. While the story is not extremely original, the characters are all very well done, with only a couple of minor exceptions.

i thought it was an awsome film, but it just didnt appeal to me. deffo not one i would struggle to see again any time soon lol.

So did I, but I will be recycling them next time I go to the theater. They are utterly worthless at home, since TVs and computer monitors are incapable of polarizing the light to display RealD 3D films (aka IMAX). I found that out after doing some digging around online after the movie. The only real use they have is going back to the theater and being recycled lol.
