Let me take this moment to say that piracy is totally NOT cool!

Moreover, you halls' site on legal thin ice by advocating it here and it does not take any all seeing red corporate eye on a tower to notice it either. All it takes is say... someone who makes games as a hobby and works for Adobe in his day job to get pissed off and send an email off to legal. I'm a dev in my day job. The kind of software we make does not get pirated by teenagers as it takes an army of consultants to install, but if it was and I saw someone advocating pirating it, that is exactly what I'd do.

Lastly, there are perfectly viable open source alternatives that are free as in beer. GIMP may not feel as smooth as CS3 in UI terms, but it is certainly powerful enough to handle all of your image editing needs. For editing PHP, this plugin for eclipse is your ticket.

i said i got it for free, there are many ways i could have got it for free.

That's a whole lot of abuse mixed in. It sure solidifies your argument. The SMSspeak and general lack of grammar adds a nice touch as well. I think I've been thoroughly intellectually lambasted.

i got it from a mate about a year ago when he decided he couldnt be bothered with web design. IF YOU REALLY HAVE TO KNOW....

nothing illigal has been directly suggested on this forum... well not by me atleast. i dont make a habbit of reading all of the threads made.

Here is my thoughts on talking about piracy.

I can't stand sites that completely hide any talk about it. Piracy happens. I do not allow talk of how to pirate software but I am not going to ban people and delete posts just because someone mentions it. If he mentioned cocaine should I jump all over him? Its illegal though. What about murder or Grand Theft Auto? That's illegal in every country yet we can talk about it and no one cares. You CAN speak about piracy, this is not the soviet union or Korea. You CANNOT however talk about how to pirate, in which he did not do and I will not allow.
I paid a lot of money for my adobe software yet it still does not bother me that someone else got it for free. Why? Because they did not. They do not get updates, share in adobe materials, or even tech support. When they do develop something with it they can not share it with adobes team or with other fellow adobe people. When you get something for free you do not utilize it like someone who paid good money for it. I have a lot invested in it so I am going to use it to the fullest. A free loader will not, they do not care they have nothing invested in it and will most likely move on when they find a better free deal. I see it often in the dev community. Pirating software is what taught me to start buying the software.

Now I DO NOT want to see this kind of name calling again. We are a community and this kind of foul mouth trash talk will not be tolerated. Lets be civil.

I WILL NOT be told my site is performing illegal activities when it is not. There is no reason to ruin the Indie-Resource(because things spread on the internet quickly) for no need.

I hope we can all put this behind us and let this go. If anyone disagrees with my policy on piracy then I am sorry its how I feel.

Let me re-say this

I do not allow talk on how to pirate software. I do agree that no one should mention that they pirate software or tell others to pirate.
