Alternative to Vegas Pro

Post by hallsofvallhalla »

So Vegas Pro has to be one of the biggest waste of money I have ever spent. It runs like absolute garbage on 95% of the machines in the world. It is laggy and there is no solution. I have a system that is about as top of the line as you can get and it still runs like crap. I have dealt with it for some time but sick of it.

Anyone know of another good Video editing software?

Want to know too, I used to use Vegas back when I "payed" for it ;), but I didn't have any problems like the ones you mention, it took some time to boot, but it ran smoothly, and I don't have a super special PC, 6gb RAM only.

What I use now, Movie Maker (from live essentials 2012), I know it's a shame.. but I don't really see anything better for free.

If you are willing to play, did you tried Camtasia Studio? It's the only one that comes to my mind.

When I get home, I will get the name of the one I use, it is completely free/open source and love it.

Oh crap, I knew there was something I was supposed to do and forgot when I got home. The software is called VSDC, below is a tutorial for using Chroma Green in VSDC. It is completely free.
