Realm crafter. what would you grade it?
Re: Realm crafter. what would you grade it?
I see what you are saying. that is exactly how i feel. i am willing to spend the $100 but a little more hesitant to spend $165.
Re: Realm crafter. what would you grade it?
i dont know halls,
i think 65 bucks for pro is a no brainer personally.
especially since Perry is a C++ guy he could later take advantage of the sources for RC PRO (although they will cost extra).

that is another reason i was thinking about getting pro. anyone know how much that will be extra?Viper wrote: especially since Perry is a C++ guy he could later take advantage of the sources for RC PRO (although they will cost extra).

but it is still $165... I say do what feels right, go with your gut and just accept what ever decision you make. Stick with it and you can make a game out of either engine.
Re: Realm crafter. what would you grade it?
i may just look into linking c++ with mysql databases and see if i could do that. anyone know of a way to use mysql databases to store data from c++ games?
EDIT: i found a thing called mysql++ which is a wrapper for the c mysql api. it is supposed to be like using stl containers but i haven't tried it yet. if anyone needs it. http://tangentsoft.net/mysql++/

Re: Realm crafter. what would you grade it?
i personally bought RC back when there was a sale to get pro too for the overall price of 100$. i never intended to use standard as my artist's heart would stop at the sight of direct x 7
Pro is taking a bit long to get out of beta phase, so i have actually never downloaded the software, still waiting.
Just FYI, the post is above, so stop looking down here and do something useful.
king noob. Nice.
