Are RPG Maker game sources free to use?

Let's say you have the license of RPG Maker and you love the free graphics so much and you want to use it on your browser based game, not on your RM project. Will it be legal or not?

It says in the Eula. I have not read it in ages so might want to read through it.

Did a quick search on their forum and it's free to use even on commercial games just as long as I have the license

Argh wait some other source I found it's not allowed to use the RPG Maker resources on other engines..

As long as that is the only thing you agreed to when installing then I see nothing in there stopping you. There is nothing about content in there so there must be something else, like a txt file going over the content.

I would say no it is not allowed

The materials included in RPG MAKER VX Ace RTP can be used with other RPG MAKER products from Enterbrain as long as you own both RPG MAKER VX Ace and other RPG MAKER products. For example, if you already own RPG MAKER VX and you want to use any materials included in the VX Ace RTP with RPG MAKER VX, you need to purchase and own RPG MAKER VX Ace also.

They are giving you permission to use the material to only another RPG maker software IF you own the license. As in the materials can only be used with other RPG maker programs.

When in doubt just don't do it. Besides that art has been used thousands of times in a million different games. I would shy away from it. I would say 40% of Game Maker games use it.
