Re: start from?
I personally started learning from scratch watching the vidoes. I knew a bit of php from previous experience, but not a lot. Through the videos and support on the forum, I have learned a tremendous amount of information. I think doing it from scratch, asking questions in here, and getting great advice and input, it's the best way to start. Then, when you have more knowledge of how things work and how the code works, you might try an engine. Just my suggestion. I wouldn't understand how the engine worked if I didn't have any idea of how the php worked to begin with.Nerfintas wrote:Hey all.. Its me again and now with umm important question. These guys are awesome, and you can learn a tremendous amount of php in a short amount of time, depending on your desire and time put into creating your game.

Re: start from?
You're welcome. I'm just a big fan of 'do it yourself'. It's a feeling that can't compare to anything else. Something that YOU made yourself, other than using other things to help make it. I mean, once I learn more php and how things work, then I might try an engine. At least I can say, "I could do this on my own"... Using the engine would just make it quicker to create. I just love the mechanic of things and have to know why the work how they work, so an engine wouldn't do for me until I learn php better.Nerfintas wrote:Thanks for opinion, its helpful
Either way, good luck on your adventure. If you have any questions, they are great here, and I'll, of course, help if I can
