Construct 2

Post by xcalpro »

Came across this HTML5 Game Maker. http://www.scirra.com/ It is very easy to use. I was able to follow the tutorial and had a simple overhead shooter game made in less than an hour.

Has anyone else used it and how does it compare to other tools like Impact?

Wanted to add that Construct 2 does work with Node.js and Socket.io for MMO games and has AJAX plugins that allow for PHP/MySQL interaction.

I thought that Construct 2 was a drag'n'drop engine like Game Maker. How would you integrate Node.js/Socket.io? By just hacking-up the resulting source code it generates?
