But I had a breif watch of your videos halls (nice job as always) and the way you was installing node and socket made me start to wonder...
Are they useable on shared hosting (or linux for that matter), it seemed like you had to run exes to get them working.
Or did i miss something lol.

Could you be more specific? I don't think you would be able to use this on shared hosting no. Of course there is a linux version of node.

Just like Ruby on Rails, ASP.NET, Python and others, node uses its own, non-PHP hosting stack. You would just look for a Node.js host if you weren't going to host it yourself. There are quite a few out there, and more are popping-up every day!
