Express is really nice :). I just wish they had a version of express that has all the IDE's rolled into one like visual studio pro.

All signs seem to point towards Microsoft unifying the Express editions in the future, maybe even for 2010. The first year of Express was 2005, and then, all Express products were completely stand-alone. The name "Visual Studio 2005 Express" was not a term officially used by Microsoft. For 2008, they adopted the term "Visual Studio 2008 Express", and after the stand-alone products were released, they released an combined download called VS2008 Express which contained all versions. Perhaps we will see them take this a step further and actually unite them all in a common IDE? It would not threaten Visual Studio 2010 Pro, since Pro and even Standard have much more of a featureset than Express. I would like to see it :D

As of this time they haven't been combined. VS2008 express is just a dvd that contains them all which you can burn to a dvd then install 1at a time. But as of this time they are all still separate tools. Which is kinda ok I suppose. But I still prefer Visual Studio Pro where everything is all neatly packaged into 1 IDE.

Oh, I know they aren't combined as of yet. It just seems to me that they may possibly share a combined package in the future because with each release, Microsoft has seemed to consider them more and more to be parts of a whole. Which they should be. I however also use VS2008 Pro, so I am not too worried about it.
