Thought I'd show off a side project I've been working on.

Looks awesome. I do have to ask which engine did you use to build this or did you use your own custom engine?
Re: Last Defense - Zombie TDS
Depends on your definition of engine, really. I used Game Maker, from YoYoGames, which is kinda noticable in the background, but built my own engine for TDSs for GM. My TDS engine includes features from a number of other engines I've come across.
I thought I'd just add, I'm hoping to add the following over time:
I thought I'd just add, I'm hoping to add the following over time:
- A weather system (It already has day and night)
- A Halo Reach Forge-like system for building and sharing one player survival type maps, multiplayer could happen but is unlikely
- Ceilings (I swear I've taken stabs at ceilings for months)
- A better trading system

I used to use GameMaker a few years ago. Was working on a multiplayer with it. Yours is pretty awesome! Will like to see more...
Re: Last Defense - Zombie TDS
Thanks for both your comments, SpiritWebb. Never have really ben any good at GM's multiplayer, how did you get along? And more is coming, hopefully in the form of my Forge-like system.. and bloody ceilings.

Very carefully. I was able to create the server and client and fly around in space. Set stars down and when hitting a star you entered that stars, star system. Then my system crashed and lost all my files...

Sorry to hear about your system crashing
Though to be honest, my system crashes all the time. Like whilst playing Morrowind yesterday, or editing that video this morning. Annoying, eh?

Freakin nuts. I would have instead loaded Linux instead of Windows the last time it crased, but Unity will NOT run under Linux, so back to Windows I went.theg721 wrote:Sorry to hear about your system crashing

Re: Last Defense - Zombie TDS
Wow, nice! Only suggestion I have is that maybe the font would be better in a slightly less-stylized form. While I know I am just watching a small, grainy YouTube video, the in-game text appeared basically illegible due to the odd serifs and thin segments on the font. While I am sure it is legible in-game, I could see it possibly being a big distracting. If the font was less stylized, it could be smaller and still legible, thus reducing screen space used.
The indelible lord of tl;dr

Thanks for the comment, Jackolatern. I know the font's a little messy, but the only other alternative fonts (that I have) either look a little out of place or look very plain and boring. Any suggestions for fonts?
