1066

Have a project in the works but not much media? How about an idea you are turning into a project? Maybe a game design document you want to start with. This is the place.

1066

Post by zolacat999 »

Well been slowly working on this for a while and recently got some help and pushed on abit more, it is originally made from halls tutorials but has been changed some but you will still see some of the original elements like the stat panel and elements of the main page. Hopefully it will slowly be built on and get better, lots of the things are still in testing and there are quite a few bugs.

Its tagged on the back end of another site, and please feel free to post any criticisms bugs and ideas for improvements/ extra features.

Hi,

Is the e-mail bit optional? I mean, your starting out, you might end up wiping the database anyway. Otherwise I'd give it a whirl.

Don't worry about the email you can type in hello if you want its not validated yet.

Yea I've aligned everything for me in safari which I fear may be a problem for other browser users, i'll have to work on that

Aye, HP and SP are a bit off for me as well? A bit high. Using firefox. Orc picture was broken to me. Not sure how to heal after being killed.

What might be cool is to have some maneuver options in the arena, like jumping off a wall to attack, or kick up dirt from the ground into their face, or such. Also get a few gold for doing these cool moves, as the crowd throws 'tips'! :)

ah yea  didn't see that spelling error will correct that asap.

Yea will have to do another css script to sort out the hp and sp bar. The orc picture isn't there yet so it is broken, need to sort out pictures like that and add more creatures and weapons.

I like some of those ideas callan will jot them down and hopefully add some of them once the main bugs are sorted.

Nice! The bars are a bit off for me as well in Chrome.

The "Raging Nerd" enemy is only temporary, right? LOL Doesn't fit too well in a 1066-era setting ;)

Also, you can freely leave battle at any time and buy potions, sleep in the inn, etc. You may want to add a mechanism to send players back to the arena once they start a fight. Then you can add a "Run away" option or something like that so that they have to try to leave battle, and can fail.
