I am in Denver Colorado on a business trip and I decided to take a trip through the rockies. Went through Cripple Creek, Pikes peek, Norad MTN., went through a few passes, Phantom Canyon, and a few more just truly awesome places.
If anyone wants some truly great inspiration on terrain this is the place to be!!! The terrain here reminds me of next gen game terrain. Terrain soon to come but we haven't reached yet. I got out of the car on a old state road and took a quick hike. I felt like I could be in a MMO.
Trees are not very ubundant out here which falls right in line. Plants and rocks look like they were placed by hand. Makes me wonder if we are not God's MMO.....

It's been a looonnnnggg time ago, but I went to Pike's Peak, Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, and Royal Gorge on a family trip. You're right, it's absolutely awesome scenery out there

We that probably never get to see this as it is a bit far away and maybe not the first tourist attraction when going to the US, do you mind posting some pictures if you took some?

HEHE, why do you think I live in Russia (I'm an English teacher for cash, programmer for fun), and travel to Europe 4 times a year, to see the castles.. Inspiration..

I Sooo want to Visit the Mayans, Aztecs and Olmecs.. Thats for the distant future.. 2012 or later I think..
but yes for now.. I have SOoo many pictures.. almost 40Gig now of over 60 European castles and villages.. most of which people can get from websites.. mine include aspects like support beams, Room designs, Secret doors, Compartments, things that Roleplayers and Gamesmasters need to know
