oh yes btw i am posting here because the kids at RC forums bash and be-little everyone there. I can rant here. If I have offended you then I am truly sorry. I will hold my tongue more as not to offend people.

did you even bother to read the damn post or did your fanboism block that! i have not been using RC because they did not give me source. I finally had to make a stupid post like that to make them give it to me. It is their unprofesionalism that drove me to act on their level.

Your right out of the 30,000 sales they have 2 commercial games should equal success. Why is it that everywhere RC is mentioned nearly everyone says exactly what i am saying. Are we all wrong and only those on RC forums right?

I have said a million times that RC is a good engine, it is Solstar that is garbage.

Why?

Because with no matter what product, the ones complaining are always significantly louder then the ones who are satisfied.

SolStar has issues, but plenty of Professional companies have just as lacking customer service.

Either way, i feel that you handled all this poorly, but that is just my opinion. THis is your site and i dont want to yell an admin, since it just feels weird and even if i am right, i still look wrong.

no if I am wrong please tell me and yes as a admin maybe I shouldn't post how I paid for a service i did not receive and that made me angry enough to post a crazy thread BUT it got the job done. Now everyone who asked has source

If we all just close our eyes to injustice and issues then no one will know the good from bad. Like Solstar has done for so long. They hide their problems behind a forum packed full of defenders so people get screwed. Did you see the post on the general forum? The one where the person is saying how they got ripped off by Solstar? He could have used this thread, and those threads pop up A LOT!

If any other member thinks I should delete this thread then consider it deleted and regardless I apologize for offending you.

I'm not saying what you did was necessarily wrong. I just feel you handled it poorly and in a rather unprofessional manner. I dont mind you posting whats on your mind, here or on the RC forums, hell its your site. But it bothers me to post in such a manner that you did.

I think he handled it in a quite appropriate way. If it was me there would have been more cussing and probably more threats Glad I never went with RC personally, but atleast they finally are giving source out..

Halls is like Batman, he is chased by authorities but is a hero to the rest of us.

I will have to agree...Halls did a good thing. If a company is offering something with their product and only giving half of what they said, then its plain wrong and people need to stand up.


Take for example, MLK. He stood up and fought were others weren't and now because of him, everyone is equal. Halls did the same thing. He would be the MLK on the RC forums!!

Halls, I have great respect for what you done! Job well done!!

Halls was mostly bashing Solstar, not RC, and IMO, nothing he said was a lie. Solstar are basically con-artists and thieves at worst, and unskilled devs who got in way over their head and have been trying to put out fires ever since at best. They are the single worst company I have ever dealt with when it comes to project management and marketing. I honestly have felt embarrassed for them on many occasions.

And about him posting things about Solstar...good! I wished I had seen something like that before I spent my money and wasted all that time that I can never get back. But hey...it did something! They released the source, which supposedly was so hard for them to do. I was promised the source code five years ago. I was a supporter of RC from the very start (MMORPGce, and one of the original 20 beta testers once RC was announced), so my patient with Solstar broke a long time ago.

I could go on, but I'll stop here. As you can tell, I am very bitter about RC and Solstar as a whole.

For myself, Halls reported facts he source wasn't released. Threads were deleted, etc.

Facts let me make up my own mind on a matter. That's the important part. Any calls of a juvinile responce are refering to something which isn't actually important, if your interested in people making up their own minds on the matter.
