Mechanical Room - First Animation

Post by D3luxe »

This is the first animation I've done, following a tutorial. I think it turned out pretty good. Took roughly 4 hours to render.

Thanks :)

It's 27,000 polys with motion blur and 2 lights. It ran 12 passes for each frame, 600 frames in total. I could have possibly turned down the passes which would have probably sped it up quite a bit, but I let it run while I was sleeping anyway so 4 hours didn't bother me and it turned out better with more passes.

What types of passes are you running, and how do you go about doing them? I'm assuming by passes you mean like ambient/zdepth/blur passes? or just different passes for each lighting??

I ran passes for the exposure, as well as the lights, and 6 passes for the blur. It varied per frame, but it would generally run between 6 and 12 passes for each frame.
