Lan games

So for Christmas I have a ton of people staying with me. I have 5 PCs on my network. Anyone recommend some good lan games. Both strategy based and action based.

Age of empires 2, cod2. 'nuff said.

I play just what Genaga said. But I play the original COD instead. If you like to build your army up first, then AoE 2 is the best to go with...I saw it at Walmart for $10. Though each computer requires a CD to play. But if you prefer straight fight with no building of resources, then COD would be the better choice.

Its really just a matter of personal preference, but I would have to agree with Genaga though!!

i am looking for a good FPS that doesn't require large specs and has good multiplayer maps. Whats the difference between cod and cod2?

As far as RTS, I want it to be good for some team play against the computer. Good fast action but also with some resource requirements.

battlefield 2, battlefield vietnam - the battlefield games are great games, and they are probably the best FPS games if you want to verse bots

F.E.A.R - I haven't player it before but ive heard it was good, it won't download right on my computer :[

Soldier of Fortune: double helix - an amazing FPS, the office map is awesome. there aren't any bots though, but it would still be fun playing 5 man deathmatch. I used to play it with about 12 people when my stepdad owned a computer repair shop, we played it on fridays for about 5 hours, most fun ive had playing an FPS, its still fun playing with just 3 people in deathmatch, me and two family members used to do that.

halo (not sure which one) - i think they have halo 1 or 2 for computer, not a bad game. Don't know how fun halo is with 5 people though, would recommend soldier of fortune over it personally

Quake - not sure how many players it goes up to, but its a good fun, old, bad graphic game

Unreal Tournament - another fun, old, bad, graphic game

Battlefield 2 with bots is quite fun, but can you have bots on LAN?

I think you can if you choose "conquest mode", like in battlefield 1942.
