Hey everyone!

I've been a lurker here for some time now and decided to finally come out of the dark to join this awesome community. I'm currently a software developer who likes long walks on the beach and was tricked by the anti-bot link in the account activation email.

But really, I have a fair amount of experience with a lot of different languages/programming styles, so I'm hoping to be able to provide some insight while learning a bunch from the great minds that roam here! Here's to a great community!

So did you find the anti bot stuff I have in place confusing and possibly too much hassle? I want to make sure we are not losing users to the anti bot measures which work great.

No I think it was a great, simple defense against bots. Having never seen it before it threw me off, but I think most people will think to check the email again and see your further explanation. I'd say it's worth keeping.
