Hello! My name is Caleb and I'm a complete newbie turned onto web development by Hall's tutorials! I've always been a huge fan of browser based/text-based RPGs so when I saw that I could possibly make my own I was ecstatic! I'm only on video 3 but it's shaping out to be pretty cool so far! I'm 17 and I enjoy reading the works of H.P. Lovecraft and the Cthulu mythos (Hence my name ) Can anyone guess which god's nickname I chose? I'm also an avid fan of Legacy Online (http://www.legacy-game.net) Urban Dead (http://www.urbandead.com) and a little bit of Dead Frontier (http://www.deadfrontier.com)
Anyways I'm looking forward to getting involved in this community and furthering my learning in this great subject! If anyone can give me some pointers that would be amazing! The more the merrier I say! The world of development seems vast but I'm sure it will subside as my knowledge expands! I look to test the waters with a project as soon as I'm finished with the basic browser based MMO tutorials! I hope to get to know you all better and thanks for providing such an awesome place!

Re: Hello!
Welcome! Things will begin to make more sense as you get more practice, but there is always more to know in programming. I have been at it for well over 10 years, and still feel like I know less than 5% of everything out there to know. It is exciting stuff!

Re: Hello!
I came here at the same age you are, I came with 0 knowledge of programming and game development and now I know alot of that stuff. I keep coming back since I always learn more. Keep watching those videos and try to understand every line of code, if you have any problem just post your problem in the help section of the forum.
Happy coding!
