So what did everyone get?

My major ones for me were a new Asus Republic of Gamers I7 Extreme. Love these things. Now it has me wanting to get back into some 3D stuff :P
and a GoPro 5 which I am also loving.

Wow why didn't you just build urself a good pc? I think RoG's are overpriced for what they have inside.. Or is there anything I'm leaving out?

In my case, you know you are getting old when you enjoy people giving you clothes and socks. 8-)

Its a Laptop, so not much of an option to build my own. The ROG's are awesome. I bought my daughter one 3 years ago and it has been a tank and it still out performs any one of our newer PCs. There is nothing I can't play.

Nice! I mostly got Amazon gift cards and cash so I still have to decide on what I want. Very nice on the new laptop!

Yeah, ROG's are definitely awesome. I have plenty of good experiences with Asus in the past as well. Great cooling system, easy disassembly, nice build quality even for standard pre $1000 plastic models (sturdy for regular-rough use), and most of their designs are just slick :D

They last quite a long time as well. Just make sure to open them and clean them entirely like once/4 months ;)
