PHP Game Tutorial (2018)

Have a project in the works but not much media? How about an idea you are turning into a project? Maybe a game design document you want to start with. This is the place.

I totally agree that we have too many options. I made more MMO based games when there were no options than I do now with a thousand options. being spoiled is hard hehehe. I am almost dead set on just starting something and saying screw it, i am not stopping till its done!

Yep I said that on the last 5 projects I started: "This is it. I don't care how many players it will get. I just need to finish something." And then I still quit a couple of weeks later.

This time i am serious. I want to build another game where I can do some tutorials. Just want to find something people will be interested in.

I think there would be a lot of interest in anything Phaser 3 + multiplayer. Doesn't have to be an MMO, since the same concepts can be scaled-up. I think that would have a lot of interest.

Mt biggest issue or learning area is interpolation and overall moving characters with the least bandwidth possible. If you know any good links send them over.

Well, real-time multiplayer is always going to require a lot of bandwidth, with the goal of sending data at least 10 times a second, and perhaps as often as 16 times. Interpolation will vary from game to game, but provided you are sending data often, you will never have to interpolate much. I'm not sure if you have seen this article series before, but it gives a good explanation of all of the techniques used. It isn't a tutorial, and there is no code involved but it outlines the strategies well. As for actual code and a demo, I think you have seen the Build New Games tutorial but it walks through a lot of these techniques.
