Thoughts on a game of Life

Was thinking of some cool projects to do on my Raspberry pi and I started thinking about when i was using it as a webserver and how it was amazing this thing tacked to my wall was doing all that. Then I got to thinking about how there could be a world contained inside of it. Writing a Javascript world that housed as intelligent as I can make them little AI bots running around doing their thing. Players come in, create "people", build their personality, likes, dislikes, then let the bots interact with other bots. Each interaction is recorded and can be read by the player when they check on them. Things like fights, love, marriage, murder, becoming rich, becoming a leader, following a clan, creating a cult, becoming strong, building a house, building a weapon, ect..
I would have to build tons of activities and interactions but the thought would be to add in a module system so other players can also build them like "mods" but they would be heavily monitored.
Not to sure how graphical I would make it. Thinking something like tiny colored blocks or even just text based. Maybe something like Dwarf Fortress but a bit better.

Imagine building a little guy, letting him lose in the world, then coming back and checking on him the next day and find out he was beat up by another block which turned his aggression up high and hatred for say other red blocks and then he was put in jail for murdering 10 other blocks. Or building one and watch him become the leader of a large cult or even gets married and has some young blocks you can now follow.

Honestly, I had this type of idea for a game a while ago. I think it'd be incredibly fun, to be honest. A bit abstract, but I think it'd play it!

yeah sounds like a lot of fun to code and watch it grow. Would be really neat to see it get popular and have a history and community develop around it. "Legends of Life"

I love games that are 100% user. Maybe eventually the game develops an economy, they find some resource that's hard to find and use that as currency, etc.

Not sure if I should suggest it, but maybe a Turing test element - other uses are highly encouraged (or even sometimes forced by play) to rate how human another bot is. And players can actually play as bots if they want, so some are human.

The higher ratings you get, the more points you get (for building or something)

Thus people will try to make the most human bots they can
