I agree with Falken. Unless you have gone to school for network security or have studied it on your own for years, use a hosting company. They are dirt cheap, and a good host has a slew of network and security professionals who keep their network safe. There is so much to know to try to set up a secure home host you could easily get lost in all of the things to do.

Just to let you know - Halls uses Go-daddy and at one point wanted to leave.
I use Justhost, but i'm going to switch to a dedicated server in a few (5 ish) months.
Going to be offering Hosting when I do! Indie-resource members get a discount!
