Just to keep you up to date with what's going on:
This week was again a busy with cubicverse, and a lot has been added. Some is directly visible like the direct trading via the "email" messaging system which let you attach items and soul energy (our currency) or request soul energy against the attached items. Basically this offers a safe trading system for the players which want to trade with somebody they know.

New information panels have been developed, which shows information when you walk nearby. We will use them to show the name of a location or give hints.

A new content writer joined the team, and he already started to work on a good long quest. We will therefore have more quests really soon, and hopefully it will make the game yet more interesting. Just to give a teaser, the writer asked to have a magical compass pointing somewhere on the map, therefore, I added a feature to my engine which allows me to have updatable items in the inventory which can display whatever I want.

Beside that new locations have been added by our main quest writer. So if you didn't explored the whole world already (impossible, right?) you may be surprised to discover new fun buildings around.

Next week we should also introduce a couple of "jingles" songs which would be triggered when some events happen. We shall see how it goes.

And yes, if you wonder, the game will have a client (I do have it ready & tested) downloadable directly from steam.

Honestly, I doubt we will succeed in making it accepted on steam, but what I can tell you that even in this greenlight phase we get a lot of visibility and visits. Sure you have to pay the 100$ fee for submission, but it's basically an advertisement fee in my opinion.

Also, we received already quite a few positive and negative comments, the main negative one being the art which turn off people. Sadly this is the hardest to solve.

Voted you, told my friends and shared on Facebook. Even if this doesn't make it, I fail to see how it doesn't add members to the game. I really wish I had more time to play. I haven't played any kind of game in two weeks, which is incredibly sad. Baseball, School and Soccer announcing takes literally 100% of my time.

I like the art but I know a really good art guy if you want to spice it up. He did all the art for Viral Dawn.

He is a 3d guy mainly but he has ways of polishing things.
Also he created all the icons and such. I created the terrain in that screenshot, hence why it looks bad :P .
