Hi,
So ive been playing about with the engine for a while now, using on localhost and runs perfect, just decided to upload it to a proper server to see how well it would run, after uploading and it 'seeming' to run correctly, the login and registration don't function (nothing has been changed on these modules).
It seems not to be connecting with the DB, but all configuration details are correct as it pulls data for the Top_List module.
No errors are being shown, so completely stumped with this.
Many Thanks.
Login (localhost vs web server)
Re: Login (localhost vs web server)
It might be checking your license key. Did you enter it into config.php properly?
Thanx,
Greg

Re: Login (localhost vs web server)
Yes, checked that it has the correct license code, even tried a fresh install from a new download of the code, same 'error' is happening. it passed the license check, installs the files and DB, but wont create the Administrator account.
Forced the DB entry, try to login and says Invalid Username/Password, so tried to register a new account, says Email/Username Taken.

Re: Login (localhost vs web server)
Did you force the DB entry buy going into the DB Admin on your host? The password is encrypted so you can 'Forget Password' and update it or register as another person and give them admin rights. Just a thought.
Of course you shouldn't have to do this, I never had to, but that gets you past this.

Re: Login (localhost vs web server)
Tried directly via DB using an encoded password = Failed
Tried just Username/Email and Forgotten Password = Failed (sent the email out, run the links, set a new password all as expected)
Seems no access past the actually installation.

'License invalid. Please purchase a valid license at:'
REALLY starting to wish i hadnt purchased this engine
Re: Login (localhost vs web server)
Your license key is on the website. Maybe there is a space or something in there. Just a thought. If you want I can get your key, do an install and see what I see.

Re: Login (localhost vs web server)
Nope, no spaces, taken directly from the 'Your License' section of the website. feel free to do what you need to get this corrected.
Re: Login (localhost vs web server)
I sent a text through the site. But just in case you didn't get it. I need you to email me you login id or email that you used to get on. You can email to admin@funmayhem.com.
Thank you!
