Beth Whitecap - NPC

So I'm working on an NPC model. This is the concept I drew up:

Current Progress:
A low poly screen grab at 4458 tris... kinda want to cut that in half D: we will see what i can spare after a UV map and sculpt

What is the general poly count for a character like this? She is one of the introductory characters in an MMO targeted at medium to high end systems. Would she fit the bill, or do I need to drastically cut that count?

Nice work so far!

As for poly count, it really depends on where you will use her and how much other stuff is on the screen with her. I am not sure how things are today, but I know a few years ago 6-800 polys was pretty reasonable for something that would be used in an active area.

She is one of the first NPCs the character meets, and she'll probably be in the center of player activity since she'll be handing out a number of quests for players.

I'll keep making tweaks and see where I can go with the count
