Hey,
here are some of my first drawed item graphics after getting an tablet.
There are axes, swords, daggers, bows, staffs, rings, amulets, scratches.
If you need them, feel free to use them. Its not much, but maybe you need exactly 2-3

Cheap Wacom Bamboo (used on a presentation, so its price toggled a bit down), because I want to try how them work.
For easy buttons and shapes with some fx like Shadow, Bevel I like my mouse, but for digital painting things its so much more accurate and easier with an tablet

Very nice! I like them a lot If you ever wanted to make some money you could make some RPG icon packs with images of items, weapons, armor, spells, etc. There are only a few out there for sale and they are nowhere near this quality. Back when I was wanting to work on an MMO, I would have bought a pack of these in a heartbeat
As far as Wacom, my wife does some digital art and has the Intuos 4. She loves it, and yes it is basically the only way to do bitmap graphics on a computer. A mouse is just not sufficient lol.

Hey, it's nice to see the progression of the art at each stage, thanks for showing that!
I've been thinking about getting a tablet, but not sure I'd ever make any money from doing web comics or such.
